At the meeting of Council on the 14 December 2007, the Portfolio Holder
Environment and Sustainability stated that a report on the latest position of
the North West Relief Road would be brought to Cabinet in January 2008.
This report updates members on key aspects of the proposed Shrewsbury
North West Relief Road (NWRR) and sets out how the scheme will be taken
forward. It gives the latest estimates of the cost of the scheme, including the
possible effects of inflation.
The report gives the current position with both the Regional Funding
Allocation process and the work being undertaken by the Environment
Agency to determine the viability and feasibility of an integrated NWRR flood
risk management scheme.
