The attached report was approved by Shropshire Council at their meeting on 23 June 2011, when it was agreed to give Community Action Officers delegated authority, in consultation with the Local Joint Committee Chair (or Vice-Chair in their absence), to determine urgent and time sensitive matters and that the Local Joint Committee Constitution be amended with immediate effect. This was considered at the LJC planning meeting held on 19th October where it was agreed to add a local intervention and the following recommendation was agreed:"That the delegated authority in relation to the Community Action Officer, be only approved following communication between the Chairman and Members and once a consensus of opinion has been reached on a time sensitive or urgent matter."
