Working with Carers in Shropshire - a Joint Strategy, aims to improve support for carers and to recognise the crucial role that they play in delivering care to vulnerable people. We want to treat carers as true partners and to give them services which they are telling us they need.
Shropshire County Council, with its partners, is committed to providing the best possible services to
carers. The Carers’ Strategy encapsulates how we hope to achieve this. Essential to this whole process is consultation with carers which is meaningful and effective. Carers are the backbone of our caring
system and need all the support that we can give them.
Carers Strategy Launch
Carers of all ages were given the opportunity to tell their stories and experiences at the official launch of Shropshire’s Carers’ Strategy. The event was attended by nearly 90 people most of whom were carers.
