If you receive transport the following charges could apply to you :

• a daily charge of £2.40 per day for transport provided by or paid for by Community Services Directorate.
• a daily charge of £2.75 per day where a two course hot meal is prepared and cooked by staff and is available to be purchased by a service user.

Does this mean I have to pay £2.40 for each journey?

No, it means £2.40 in total for all transport provided for that day. For example, if you have transport to and from the day centre and travel elsewhere during the day, it will make no difference to the amount that you pay.

How will this money be collected?

We have various ways of collecting the money to make it as easy as possible for you to pay these new charges.
