Social care eligibility criteria
Adults who need help because of physical, sensory, learning or mental health difficulties may qualify for services from Social Care.
To see if you can receive services from Social Care we have eligibility criteria.
You will need to have an assessment. The assessment will prioritise the needs and risks to your independence at one of these levels: critical, substantial, moderate or low.
We can only provide services if your needs are assessed as critical or substantial.
What happens if I do not meet this criteria?
If you have lower level needs you may still be helped to access services, particularly if they will help to maintain your independence.
Our eligibility criteria and Fair Access to Care policy is attached on this page.
