Photocopying
Some printed books, maps and documents can be photocopied by staff for you. This is subject to copyright restrictions and also the condition, age, size and colouring of the item, as we do not want to risk damaging originals.
Printouts
We have a self-service printer for copies from CD ROMs and websites. You will need to buy a print card from staff (minimum £1).
There is a self-service machine for printing A4 copies from microfiche and microfilm or you can send these to the printer as above.
Staff can make A3 copies for you.
Your own photography
You can photograph original documents, within copyright guidelines and where this does not cause undue risk to the document. Please download the attached document 'photography in the search room' for more information.
There is a charge for a photography permit (day, week, year) and the money helps with the long term preservation of Shropshire's unique collections.
In many cases, it may be difficult for you to photograph successfully. Our Image Services department has specialist equipment and can produce high quality images in a range of formats.
