Llanymynech Lime Works

Llanymynech

What?

The Llanymynech Heritage Area brings together limestone quarrying, lime kilns (especially the rare Hoffman kiln) and transport by rail and canal. A member of the Friends of the Heritage Area ('LLIMEYS') will lead the walk around the significant points of interest. A moderately easy walk but with the option of a stiff climb to the quarries.

When?

Wednesday 25 July 2012 7pm-9pm (approx).

Where?

Meet at the Heritage Site headquarters (follow brown sign eastwards) just north of the canal in the village. SY22 6EA. S map ref: SJ 266211.

Cost?

£4.00 payable on the day.
