The Arts and Heritage service is responsible for Arts, Museums and Shropshire Archives.
This area brings together all the current art, museum and archives services that have previously been managed by the County Council and the 5 district/borough councils.
The Arts and Festivals Service
The Arts and Festivals Service includes arts and festivals development, Theatre Severn, the Old Market Hall Film and Digital Media Centre and Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre.

The Museum Service
The Museum Service manages Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, Ludlow Museum, Ludlow Museum Resource Centre, Much Wenlock Museum, Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery, Shrewsbury Castle and Coleham Pumping Station as well as collecting and preserving the historic collections throughout Shropshire. This service also manages the Music Hall Redevelopment Project which will create a new County Museum and Visitor Centre for Shropshire.
Shropshire Archives
Shropshire Archives manages a wealth of information (historical documents, family and local study materials) for the historic county of Shropshire which is now Shropshire and the Borough of Telford and Wrekin. In addition, the Archaeology Service and Information and Records Management are also managed by this section.
