
Arts and Festivals Network Events
Shropshire Council Community Arts Service will be hosting a series of art cafes across the county throughout 2011 and 2012.
Artists, festival organisers and community and voluntary arts organisations are invited to attend the art cafes, please feel free to attend any as they are not area specific.
Throughout the evenings, there are a number of presentations and opportunities for artists to network and exchange ideas and information.

Bid Writing for Festivals

Practical tips on writing, approaching funders, budgets, relationship with funders and evaluation.
Event Safety Management
Thursday 24th November 2011 at Wilderhope Manor
For anyone who will have responsibility for running an event or responsible for health and safety at an event - how to write and implement an Event Safety Plan. Table top exercise, discussion and specific training by top event management specialists.
Marketing for Festivals
Tuesday 29th November 2011 at The Crown Hotel, Bridgnorth
How to market with a small budget, social media, top ten tips, communication management, the usual and the unusual.
Please note, there is no charge for the training days and lunch will be provided. The training is supported by the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) and Shropshire Council.
People who register and do not show up (and do not provide a deputy) will be charged £25 to cover costs.
Shropshire and Telford arts partnership
The partnership is made up of local authority officers with responsibility for the Arts in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin and the Arts Council England West Midlands' Officer for Regional Partnerships.
The partnership produce a fortnightly e-newsletter which includes information on:
- jobs, exhibition and performance opportunities
- training, support, conferences and seminars
- useful Information
- funding
- events
