Seasonal Fun for Families
Throughout the year our activities really get you on the trail to discovery. Whether its GEOcaching or Orienteering, we'll give the skills and the equipment to allow you to set off on your own mini adventure. Over the summer you can participate in a virtual excavation, create meadow art, or learn about animal diets. For more information on any of these activities, follow the appropriate link below.
Craven Arms Community Food and Farmers' Market
Our very popular Farmers' Markets are held on the first Saturday of the month between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. Vendors sell meat, cheese, fish, bread, savouries, cakes, chocolates, juices, beer, wine, and beauty products, all of which are locally produced and/or sourced.
GEOcaching Satellite Safaris - Everyday!
GEOcaching is treasure hunting for the 21st century. With an easy-to-use, hand-held GPS (Global Positioning System) you navigate to find different locations. When you get there you open the cache or discover the secret. Choose to follow our Secret Stones Trail, Tusker's Iron Age Hoard Hunt, Shropshire's WWII Wartime Secrets Trail, or the Craven Arms Crossroads in Time - follow the link on this page for full details.
Shropshire Hills Events Calendar 2010 and Discover Shropshire 2010
We're not the only ones offering fantastic events and activities in Shropshire. At museums and countryside sites, at libraries and archives, and sometimes even on your doorstep - in your village or just down the road there are things happening that will entertain you and your family, help you explore more of our fantastic county and reveal some of its secrets.
The 2010 editions of both of these publications will be available soon.
