Arts Alive

Arts Alive is the rural touring scheme for Shropshire and Herefordshire, bringing a range of professional performances to local venues, working in partnership with local people.

Blue Eyed Soul Dance Company

Blue Eyed Soul Dance Company is an innovator of inclusive dance with disabled and non-disabled artists of all ages.

From its base in rural Shropshire the Company works locally, nationally and internationally and has built a positive reputation for its excellent performance, education and training work. The Company aims to create a level playing field where people can step over their threshold of perceived possibility.

Cloud Gallery

The Cloud Gazers have initiated this exciting, visionary proposal for The Cloud Gallery, an inspirational visual experience for artists and craftspeople, professionals and the public. It will be a place for people to come together to discuss, interact and support: art in the landscape, sustainable design and construction, ethical working relationships, community involvement.

Dash (Disability Arts in Shropshire)

Aims to advance the education and enjoyment of disabled people in the Arts; and the wider community about Disability Arts.

The Fetch Theatre

Hive

The Hive is an independent arts organisation based in Shrewsbury and working across Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin to inspire young people through music and media. Working with young musicians and media artists, it aims to give young people opportunities to learn, have fun and be creative.

The Project Group, Oswestry

Pentabus Theatre Company is dedicated to the development of new theatre writing. The productions tour to theatres and arts centres across the country.

Qube, Oswestry Community Action

A charity that aims to improve quality of life and empower those members of the community marginalised through age, health, disability or rural isolation, to fully participate in society.

Secret Hills Arts Cafe

Trading Faces

Trading Faces entertains people by using masks to create popular, appealing and energetic theatre. As a theatre company of national and international renown, Trading Faces, based in Bishops Castle, creates and uses distinctive and original masks in performance and for educational and training purposes.

Edge Arts Centre

The Edge is a vibrant arts centre located on the campus of William Brookes School in Much Wenlock, Shropshire.

The Festival Drayton Centre

The Festival Drayton Centre in Market Drayton provides wide-ranging facilities which include a state-of-the-art theatre for movies and live events, meeting rooms for conferences, a licensed coffee shop and an extensive arts and leisure programme.

Creative industry support

Borderland Visual Arts

Borderland Visual Arts is a support network for visual artists with a register of members in and around Oswestry and The Marches. Members are encouraged to be contemporary and experimental.

Creative Shropshire

Creative Shropshire is the hub of the region's creative industry. We work to promote Shropshire as a centre for creative business excellence.

The Shropshire Guild of Contemporary Craft

The Shropshire Guild of Contemporary Craft was formed in 2001 to promote, display and sell the work of designers and makers of contemporary craft working in Shropshire.

Shropshire Music Trust

Shropshire and Telford Arts Partnership (STAP)

The Shropshire and Telford Arts Partnership is made up of representative local authority officers with responsibility for the Arts in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin and the Arts Council England West Midlands' Officer for Regional Partnerships.

The aims of the group are:

  • To strengthen communication between councils and to network with and support arts organisations, individual artists, promoters and volunteers working in the Arts
  • To raise the profile of and to advocate for, the Arts
  • To coordinate Arts activity across the subregion
  • To maximise funding for the Arts within the subregion

Visual Arts Network

VAN is an artist led organisation that offers support to artists and an exciting annual festival and projects throughout the year. Shrewsbury Visual Arts Festival takes place throughout the whole of July.

Youth Music

Youth Music- funding and development agency for music for young people.
Youth Music is a UK-wide charity set up in 1999 to provide high quality and diverse music-making opportunities for 0-18 year olds. It targets young people living in areas of social and economic need who might otherwise lack opportunity and predominantly supports activities which are held outside school hours.
