Economic Development Team
Working in partnership with local and regional public, private and voluntary sector organisations, the Economic Development Team's aim is to improve the conditions for growth, safeguard jobs and attract inward investors to the county.

Invest in Shropshire showcases the best of what Shropshire has to offer to businesses. The site includes a commercial property search facility, signposting to business support services, information on living and working in Shropshire, and all the latest news and business events taking place within the County.
Business support and advice provides details on business networks and links to external business services.
Visitor (tourism) economy contains information and advice for businesses, attractions, associations and networks working in the visitor (tourism) economy.
External funding provides information on grant funding opportunities in Shropshire and what the Council does to ensure that the county benefits from European, Regional Development, Lottery and other external funding.
The Economic Policy and Research section of the team undertakes primary and secondary research and works with key local businesses to promote and argue the case for government and other investment Shropshire.
Shropshire Food Enterprise Centre, is a new centre that supports fledgling businesses in the food and drink industry, which is a key sector for the County.
