Helping Children to Enjoy and Achieve

Children need to be prepared for life by staff who can offer appropriate care and learning experiences. Your Children’s Centre Area Teacher (CCAT) can help you to offer the very best for the children in your care. CCATs will help you to create a learning environment both indoors and outdoors which will cater for all your children’s needs and interests, thereby helping them to learn through play. They can also help you with the documentation you are required to keep such as planning records; observations including recording children’s achievements, learning and development; and how you meet the needs of individual children.

CCATs can also help you to review your practice using a specially designed ‘Self Review’ document.
