Don't Keep It to Yourself
If you are being abused or are worried that someone you know is being abused, it's really important to tell an adult you trust. You may be afraid that no one will believe you, or of what will happen to the person you’re accusing. Many young people feel scared to tell anyone because they’ve been threatened or have been made to feel guilty or ashamed.
Remember abuse is never your fault. You don’t have to deal with it on your own and there are many ways to get help. If you can’t get through to one of the phone lines don’t give up – try again.
