Integrated working is when everyone supporting children and young people work together effectively to put the child at the centre, meet their needs and improve their lives.
Using integrated working, practitioners can:
- identify needs earlier
- deliver a coordinated package of support that is centred on the child or young person, and
- help to secure better outcomes for them.
Information Sharing and Assessment (ISA)
ISA supports agencies working together with children, young people and their families. This
process includes:
- Common Assessment Framework (CAF)
- Team Around the Child (TAC)
- The Lead Professional role
There are many different people and agencies working with children and young people aged 0-18. ISA aims to improve the way that these different people and agencies communicate, share information and work together, to make sure the needs of all children and young people are met.
ISA works to ensure that prevention services are better co-ordinated, and that children, young people and their families are offered support at an earlier stage. ISA is part of the government's strategy to improve services for children and young people.
