Sure Start Children’s Centres work with a range of partner providers to deliver services
Our partners
- Early years and childcare providers.
- Voluntary sector providers such as Homestart, Shropshire Playbus and The Hive.
- Health professionals, such as Health Visitors, Midwives, Speech and Language Therapists and the Portage Team.
- Schools, where we work together to support families that have children under five; many of our services are run from school sites and schools send out information to parents about our services.
- Private providers, who help us to deliver activities such Baby Massage, Yoga Tots and other sessions for families.
For details on where these services may be running in your area, please click on the 'What's on in your area' link in the left hand column.
Partner providers are also involved in the Local Steering Groups for each Children’s Centre area. There are meetings held three or four times a year to share information about services in the area, identify gaps in service delivery and to work together to improve access and outcomes for families of children under five years old.
More of these steering groups are now linked to Extended Schools Steering Groups so that the best use is made of people’s time and joint opportunities are found to work together to discuss and deliver the range of Extended Services for the whole family.
