Vision Statement
'In Shropshire, all children and young people matter. We will work together and in partnership with families and carers to give every child and young person the best opportunities today and for the future'.
Statement of Commitment
(Name of organisation) is committed to working in partnership and co-operating with Shropshire Children’s Trust and the agencies it represents in order to:
- Value the uniqueness of every child and young person, encouraging and enabling each one to discover his or her particular strengths, and have the commitment to develop them
- Support parents and carers in taking responsibility for helping their children to develop the confidence and resilience they will need to be effective learners and citizens
- Involve children, young people and their parents and carers in helping us to plan the services that they need and want, and in helping us to evaluate their effectiveness
- Close the gap for disadvantaged children and young people in Shropshire, removing barriers to access, participation, and progression and joining up our services to support child and young people at greatest risk of failure and social exclusion
- Recognise and value the contribution to better outcomes for children, young people and their parents and carers that is made by partners delivering high quality services
- Work together towards a goal of all our children and young people living safely at home, being in school,college or in work and training making a positive contribution to the community
- Jointly support our children and young people to develop positive approaches to health and physical andmental well-being
- Develop common processes for assessing children and young people’s needs and sharing information appropriately so that families don’t have to repeat their history unnecessarily and
- Support the aim of embedding services in local communities, through the involvement of schools andother partners.
