Achieve economic well-being

Achieve economic well being

In Shropshire, all children and young people matter. We will work together and in partnership with families and carers, to give every child and young person the best opportunities today and for the future.

Achieve economic well-being

  • Engage in further education, employment or training on leaving school.
  • Ready for employment.
  • Live in decent homes and sustainable communities.
  • Access to transport and material goods.
  • Live in households free from low income.

Shropshire Children’s Trust priorities

  • Reducing the harmful effects of alcohol amongst young people.
  • Reducing bullying.
  • Developing children’s centres across the county including targeting increases in foundation stage achievement.
  • Reducing offending amongst young people.
  • Reducing homelessness amongst young people.
  • Increasing support for parents and carers.
  • Providing more co-ordinated support for children with disabilities.
  • Further reducing the number of vulnerable young people who are not in education, employment or training.
  • Improving the response and services of agencies to children and families suffering domestic violence.
  • Increasing children and young people’s involvement in the decision making process for the development of relevant services.
