Impact Alcohol Advisory Services

Impact provides counselling and advice, information and training, for anyone concerned about their own or someone else's drinking.

The service is free and confidential, operating from different venues throughout Shropshire.

Impact does not offer a drop-in service, but appointments can be made via the Wellington and Shrewsbury offices. Evening and weekend appointments are available on request.

Some services can be provided via home visits when necessary.

Both Impact offices are wheelchair accessible and have hearing loop facilities.

Impact offers:

counselling for individuals, couples or families
advice and information
support for friends and relatives
dedicated service for ethnic minority communities
group work
education and training initiatives(c)
consultancy
referral to other services for residential rehabilitation and detoxification
services are offered at other locations throughout Shropshire to improve access for more people, and particularly those in rural areas
creative methods including home visits when necessary, can be used to enable people who would not otherwise access the service by the usual means to get the help and support they need
complete confidentiality
counselling for probation clients
alcohol related education, training and consultancy services(c)
alcohol Awareness road shows(c)
education and prevention initiatives and events into alcohol use, misuse risks and consequences
