Future changes to the concessionary travel scheme

From 1 April 2008 a new concessionary fares scheme comes into force for the 60s and over, and those with a disability.

The new scheme will allow passholders free local bus travel throughout the whole of England between 9.30am and 11.00pm Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.

To benefit from the scheme, eligible people will need to obtain a new pass. Details of how to do this are available from your respective District or Borough Council.
