The Community Working team is led by the head of Community Working supported by three area based teams of 10 officers each, located in the northern, southern and central areas. Each area team has a Team Leader who supports local elected members in their community leadership role and admin structure support officer who will be happy to take enquiries from the public and partners.
Community Working
Each area team comprises a Senior Community Officer plus six Community Officers. Each of these officers is assigned to a specific geography to provide support to local community-led activity that contributes to the social, economic and environmental well being of the area. Each officer also works closely with, and supports the Local Committee for their locality and assists local partnerships, community and voluntary groups to develop solutions to address local issues. Support can be through developing parish plans, attending local meetings and finding funding for projects.

Area Partnerships
Each area, northern, central and southern has its own Area Partnership structure, bringing together key partners, stakeholders and community groups, to work together to identify and address local priorities and to support the local implementation of county-wide priorities and actions contained within the Shropshire Community Strategy, Local Area Agreement and Local Development Framework.
Each Area Partnership is supported by an Area Partnership Officer based within the Community Working team.
