The first open meeting of the Bishop’s Castle, Chirbury and Worthen, and Clun Local Joint Committee will take place next Tuesday (7 July) at 7pm in the Public Hall, Station Street, Bishop’s Castle.
All are invited to come along to the meeting to take part in the discussion, to raise any issues or concerns, and to meet your local representatives.
This Local Joint Committee (LJC) will be led by the three local Shropshire Councillors whose divisions cover the area – Nigel Hartin, Heather Kidd and Peter Phillips - and one representative each from the 13 parish and town councils.
Councillor Nigel Hartin has been nominated as chairman of the LJC and nominations are invited for vice-chairman.
There is a budget of £49,000 for the first year, and discussions will take place during the meeting about how it should be allocated.
Everyone is invited to come along to the meeting, as it is your opportunity to make your voice heard.
