About the registers
The Register of Financial and Other Interests requires Members to disclose any financial or other interest they have which may influence the decisions they take. This includes details such as:
All 48 Members must sign the County Council's 'Members Code of Conduct'. This states - in accordance with section 81(1) of the Local Government Act 2000 - that all Members must register certain financial and other interests within 28 days of their election or appointment to office. Furthermore, Members must also inform the Authority’s monitoring officer of any changes to these interests within 28 days of becoming aware of these changes. Members are also required to register any gifts or hospitality received within 28 days of receiving it.
