We have recently updated our website to make it easier for you to pay for council services. Paying us via our website is convenient for you and enables us to save money on administration and bank charges.

Data protection statement
The information you provide will be used to process your payment. It may be shared with other council services and partner organisations to ensure our records are kept accurate and to help us to identify services you may be entitled to or interested in. Shropshire Council may also share relevant information with external agencies for the purposes of preventing and detecting fraud, or if the law requires us to do so.

By direct debit

Setting up a direct debit to pay your business rates in monthly instalments is simple. Call 0345 678 9003 to sign up over the phone, or just complete and return a direct debit instruction. The direct debit instruction can be located on the back of your last bill.
You will be notified of the amounts to be debited at least 14 days before the first payment date. If you have any queries about the direct debit scheme, please telephone 0345 678 9003.
By phone with a debit or credit card (24 Hours a Day)
Just ring 0345 678 9009 when a payment is due. Please make sure you have your account number and debit or credit card ready when calling.
Please note that a 1.3% transaction charge will be applied to credit card payments. No charge will apply to debit card payments.

You must quote your full business rates reference to enable us to identify you. This is a 13 digit reference starting with a "2" and can be found on your latest bill.

You can pay your business rates using the barcode shown on your most recent bill at:
- Any post office in the UK (cheque or cash)
- Any Paypoint outlet in the UK (cash only)
