Trees are fundamental to the natural heritage, the culture and the tourist industry of Shropshire. For those of us who live here, that landscape and those trees are what we see as home, our countryside.
This landscape needs managing with care and there are opportunities for landowners, farmers, communities and individuals to get involved through a number of initiatives being undertaken by Shropshire Council and national bodies such as the Woodland Trust and the Tree Council.
Follow the links on this page to find a number of ways in which you can help to maintain the trees and hedgerows that form the essential framework of this landscape
