
Community Play Store
(Available only within Bridgnorth District)
Bridgnorth District Council was awarded £200,000 from the Big Lottery fund to provide and improve play opportunities throughout the district. Shropshire Council has since taken on this responsibility which is now being delivered by the Parks and Countryside Sites Team.
From the £200,000 sum, £5000 has been allocated towards the provision of a Community Play Store. This includes the purchase of both play equipment and a trailer for storage and transport.
The idea of the play store is that community and non-profit groups are able to bring play to their communities at no cost. All we would require from you is a refundable deposit and the equipment is yours to collect!
This scheme is perfect for community and non-profit groups who would like to encourage and provide play in their local community through events such as the summer play scheme. It should be noted that this store will not be available for use at fund-raisers as this is a non-profit making scheme.
