Walking for Life! aims to progress those people who may have initially joined ‘Walking the way to Health’ as a beginner onto more independent walking activities.

Walking for Life! classifies ‘Independent Walking’ as either walking with local walking groups in your area, or following self guided leaflets around routes either on your own or with friends and families.

Local Walking Groups

Shropshire offers a wide variety of guided walking groups in every district of the county. In addition to this there are also walking events and festivals happening at various venues throughout the year. Shropshire County Council have produced a 'Celebrating 50 Years of Access' leaflet which will signpost you to the variety of walking activities taking place across the county during 2008.

Self Guided Leaflets

There are a huge number of self guided walks leaflets on offer around the county which can be found by following the website links on this page. Walking for Life has also produced its own walking leaflets for you to download and print off.
