The Education Improvement Service provides an extensive programme of continuing professional development training for school managers, teaching staff, support staff and governors. This training is provided either through courses delivered at a range of training centres across the county, or via school-based training sessions which can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of the school (or groups of schools if necessary).
The courses and school-based training sessions cover all aspects of primary, secondary and special education, as well as the very latest management issues. The programmes are continually updated to take account of the ever-changing local and national education agenda.
Our full programme of courses and conferences can be viewed via the Shropshire Learning Gateway (SLG) by following the link on this page.
Please note: You will need a user name and password to access the SLG. All Shropshire LA maintained schools have already been issued with passwords but non-Shropshire LA maintained schools/establishments will need to login using a generic user name and password. Please contact the CPD Team on 01743 254522 for details.
If you are a Shropshire LA maintained school and have forgotten or do not know your password please contact the SITSS Team on 01743 252200.
A summary of the courses and conferences available can be accessed by following the primary courses and secondary courses links on the navigation menu on this page. Additional courses will be posted on the SLG and summary pages throughout the year, so make sure to visit regularly!
