What is happening in Mathematics ....

Schools are building on the improvements at Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 as they review and develop planning for progression across the primary phase. The Primary National Strategy continues to evolve and we will support schools in implementing the Renewed Framework.

Our CPD provision reflects the need to:

  • raise standards by maintaining our focus on teaching and learning
  • strengthen teachers' subject knowledge
  • extend effective use of resources and ICT
  • develop the role of teaching assistants.
