Experienced leaders and managers who have completed initial EVC training.

Course content

An opportunity for those who have completed initial EVC training to have it revalidated.

Intended outcomes

To ensure:
EVCs are confident and competent to fulfil the role of EVC effectively
EVCs have a current understanding of:

• the rationale for and benefits of visits
• the legal framework in which visits are undertaken
• what an EVC needs to know
• what an EVC needs to do.

- role, functions and responsibilities
- planning a visit

Section Two:
- risk assessment

Section Three:

- scenarios
- critical incidents and emergency procedures.
