What is happening with Teaching Assistants ....
Teaching assistant courses in this section continue to focus on the National Qualifications Framework of Induction Training, NVQs at levels 2 and 3 and HLTA. The Foundation Degree for Teaching Assistants is also offered, in partnership with Edge Hill University. Look out too for the new Shropshire Certificate of Classroom Competence for Teaching Assistants, details of which are included.
In addition, browse through the whole brochure, as short courses are offered within many curriculum areas, some specifically designed for teaching assistants and some for teaching assistants and teachers to attend together. It is possible for teaching assistants to attend many of these courses free of charge, if accompanying a paying teacher. Look out for the courses with the symbol.
