Target audience

NQTs, teachers in the early years of their careers, experienced teachers, new and experienced leaders and managers, teaching assistants.

Course content

These termly briefings aim to update teachers of design and technology on any recent developments in design and technology education. It is also a platform for:

  • exploring and exemplifying good school practice
  • examining the work of professional designers and technology practitioners.

Provides an opportunity for practical 'hands-on' sessions across a range of specialisms and media.

Intended outcomes

  • Opportunities to network with fellow colleagues - share expertise and ideas
  • Raised awareness and understanding of developments within design and technology education
  • Continuing development of teachers' own pedagogy and practice
  • Continuing development of teachers' personal, technological and creative practice.
