Target audience

New leaders and managers.

Course content

The programme will cover all aspects of leadership and management relevant to the newly appointed headteachers of Shropshire schools. It will include inputs from School Improvement Advisers, human resources and finance officers and the manager of Governor Support and Training.

Intended outcomes

• Secure knowledge and understanding of the local authority and the practicalities of headship in Shropshire schools
• Confidence in leading and managing the school team including in challenging circumstances
• Confidence in leading and managing school improvement
• Confidence in managing both human and financial resources.
