Target audience

Senior leaders in both primary and secondary who have responsibility for/or an interest in developing community cohesion and enhancing the achievement of ethnic minority groups.

Course content

An opportunity to look at the recent requirements on schools to promote community cohesion and what that means for individual settings and explore the range of national programmes available to support ethnic minority achievement.

Identify key actions that need to be taken by individual settings to move forward on the two main areas of community cohesion and ethnic minority achievement.

Intended outcomes

Participants will:

  • have a clear understanding of the requirements regarding promoting community cohesion
  • have had the opportunity to look at a range of programmes being used nationally to support ethnic minority achievement
  • identify actions that are required within their own setting to move forward and produce an action plan to support this.
