Secondary Art & Design Network Meetings

Making Masks for Art/Drama

• Designing and constructing three dimensional masks in cardboard
• Designing and constructing masks using professional making techniques in clay design and papier maché construction
• A brief look at drama techniques for using masks and how masks work in performance

Spring Term 2009

Arts Award - Bronze/Silver
This is an outline plan for a one day training course, following which attendees will be able to act as advisers for young people taking Level 1 or Level 2 Awards. Following successful completion of the course attendees will be added to the list of accredited Arts Award advisers held by Trinity Guildhall.

Summer Term 2009

Drawing Across the Curriculum
Based on the Campaign for Drawing, the course focuses on drawing as a medium for learning across the curriculum and explores drawing strategies for both individual and group work.

Landscape Photography

• Introductory workshop on composition. A few simple ideas to vastly improve your work. The course is aimed at enthusiasts who are sometimes frustrated by their images and who want to move to the next level
• Putting ideas into practice - interpret the landscape of The Wrekin/Long Mynd and record on film/digital. Basic image editing workshop to process images produced
• Workshop on understanding the light - some ideas to take away.
