A blend of updates from national and local initiatives, a substantial agenda item for discussion and development, and a little mathematics.

Intended outcomes

• Explore a current issue in-depth (detail of focus to be notified nearer the event)
• Share good practice
• Receive an update on national, local and regional activities.

Programme

The programme will include:

• classroom activities - a little bit of maths
• exploration of a current theme eg Key Stage 4 assessment, problem solving
• good practice examples from participants
• update news from national, local and regional organisations and agencies.

Schools are encouraged to book two places on this course, typically this will be:

• head of mathematics and a free place for accompanying participant
• teacher with responsibility for an aspect of mathematics.
