What is happening in ICT ....

  • promoting ICT capability and raising standards at Key Stage 3 including preparing for the on-screen test in Year 9
  • assessment for learning, problem solving and higher order thinking
  • increasing successful certification by the end of Key Stage 4 in particular developments in DiDA
  • targeting the ‘higher levels’ in ICT
  • using ICT to enhance subject teaching
  • exploiting broadband for teaching and learning
  • exploiting learning platforms for teaching and learning
  • ICT across the curriculum (ICTAC).

At the time of writing we are undergoing a procurement process for the new learning platform. Courses involving Digitalbrain will be amended to relate to the local authority learning platform in current use at the time of the course.

Secondary ICT Network Meetings
Subject network meetings will include:

Autumn Term 2008

Introduction to The Learning Platform
The course will provide an overview of the basic user functionality of the Learning Platform.

Using Clicker 5 to Support Pupils With SEN in the Classroom
The session will provide an opportunity to look at some commercially produced Clicker packages, show how to make Clicker grids and allow time to develop a Clicker grid for use with a particular pupil in your class.
