What is happening in Information Communication Technology ....

At the time of writing we are undergoing a procurement process for the new learning platform. Courses involving Digitalbrain will be amended to relate to the local authority learning platform in current use at the time of the course.

ICT for Teaching Assistants
A practical workshop, exploring software and hardware commonly found in primary classrooms.

Using Clicker 5 to Support Pupils With SEN in the Classroom
The session will provide an opportunity to look at some commercially produced Clicker packages, show how to make Clicker grids and allow time to develop a Clicker grid for use with a particular pupil in your class.

School ICT Capability Audit
A supported audit of current ICT capability within your school, using the self-review framework, leading to action planning and followed up in the second session with discussion, review and further planning.

Updating Your ICT Scheme of Work
A chance to update your school's ICT policy in the light of new developments, ideas and resources.

Digital Imaging - Digital Photography & Video
Creating and developing the use of digital pictures, photographs and videos to enhance teaching and learning.

Helping teachers to give children the skills to deal effectively with the bewildering amount of digital information that can be accessed online.

Making Links: Visual Literacy¸ Drama & ICT
This two part course will consider the links between the teaching of English, visual literacy, drama and ICT.

Using Music Software to Support Music at Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2
A course to support the teaching of music at Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 using appropriate technology.

Using ICT to Support Pupils' Understanding of Earth in Space
Helping pupils to understand 'Earth in Space' concepts is one of the biggest challenges in Key Stage 2 science teaching. This course will focus on ICT applications that effectively support and extend pupils' understanding of the ideas. It will include the use of ICT modelling and a review of the best websites to support this aspect of the science curriculum.
