History

What is happening in History....

Alongside all secondary schools we are moving towards a period of considerable change in the history curriculum at Key Stage 3, GCSE and AS/A Level. We will continue to focus on the development of exciting and challenging history in the classroom and make links between schools and local providers to ensure extra resources are made available to schools.

The CPD provision is aimed at:

  • supporting and preparing departments for the changes to the Key Stage 3 curriculum due to be implemented in September 2008, and
  • developing the strong network working we already enjoy throughout the county to support good quality challenging history.

Summer Term 2008

History Up Close & Personal
History should be challenging and controversial. By looking at individuals and the decisions they made, can we bring the subject even more alive?
