CPD Programme – April 2008 to July 2009

The new primary and secondary brochures, covering the four academic terms from this summer, have arrived in all Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin schools. The brochures include details of the service’s Subscription Scheme.

The move to a four term brochure seeks to recognise the fact that schools are increasingly planning their CPD provision based on the academic rather than financial year in line with their school SEF and SDP. The 2008/09 Subscription Scheme takes into account this new development but continues to offer schools the chance to realise significant financial savings and value for money when accessing the full range of opportunities provided through the CPD programme.

Proformas have been circulated to Shropshire schools detailing their individual subscription charges for the four terms from April 2008 until July 2009. These should be signed and returned, indicating whether schools wish to subscribe or not, by Friday 30 May 2008. A separate offer has been provided for Telford & Wrekin schools designed to complement the provision available from their local authority’s Learning & School Improvement Team.

Any of the courses advertised in the brochures can be purchased as a school-based training, or be tailor-made to meet the specific requirements of individual schools or groups of schools. Equally, school-based training can be arranged to meet the specific agenda of the individual school or clusters of schools. This training can be booked to suit the diaries and budgeted resources available. School-based training booked before the end of Summer term 2008 will be charged at a 15% discount on the standard rate.
