School-based training - terms and conditions

School-based training sessions can be arranged directly with the adviser, or by contacting the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Team.

Our school-based training rates for Shropshire LA-maintained schools will include the following:

  • Any preparatory work (unless the preparatory work is extensive, in which case a fee will be negotiated)
  • The costs of travel
  • The time the adviser is in school

Where school-based training sessions involve more than 10 delegates, additional charges apply, primarily to cover the costs of materials (please refer to our school-based training rates attached to this page).

Any follow-up work - for example, writing reports - will be charged for separately. It is very important that the specific requirements for the school-based training are negotiated with the adviser in advance of the school-based training, particularly if follow-up work is required. It is recommended that any negotiated arrangements are confirmed in writing.

Following the school-based training, the adviser is required to complete a Note of Visit form, which summarises the context of the school-based training, the outcomes and the agreed actions. On completion, a copy of this form will be sent on to the school for information.

Invoices will be raised termly in arrears. The payment terms and options are detailed on the invoices.

Any correspondence should be sent to Phil Wilson, Service Delivery Manager - Learning and Skills, at the address on this page.
