New and experienced leaders and managers.

Course content

These termly meetings provide opportunities for subject leaders for English (or their representatives) to meet to share information and good practice.

Intended outcomes

• An update on local and national developments
• Discussion of issues related to English teaching and subject leader development
• An opportunity to share ideas and good practice.

Programme

A detailed agenda will be available before each meeting. These will generally contain:

• an update on Key Stage 3 and 4, post-16 matters and on primary school developments likely to affect English departments
• a discussion item on a topical issue related to curriculum, assessment and/or management
• an opportunity to compare practice and share resources with reference to a particular curriculum area.
