Support staff.

Course content

A comprehensive induction programme for support staff planned by the Training & Development Agency for Schools. Aspects of the programme are also relevant to more experienced members of support staff.

Intended outcomes

In brief participants will develop knowledge, skills and understanding in relation to:

  • roles and context
  • Every Child Matters
  • strategies for promoting positive behaviour
  • ICT in schools, safety and security in ICT
  • equality, access and inclusion including for pupils with SEN and for whom English is an additional language.
