School-based training can be planned to address your own school priorities, as well as to help you respond to national initiatives and LA or government requirements. For example:
Primary and Secondary
Teaching - working with one or more teachers on:

- Selecting resources including ICT
- Classroom approaches
- Assessing and evaluating outcomes.
Curriculum development:
- Looking at a specific topic
- Introducing new ideas, resources and activities
- Introducing new approaches
- Incorporating new technologies
- Invigorating old topics.
Management - work with headteachers and co-ordinators on:
- Monitoring
- Developing whole school policies
- Working with parents
- Developing and revising schemes of work
- Monitoring work in the classroom
- Evaluating departmental policies.
Raising achievement - lead staff meetings on:
- Monitoring
- Whole school approaches to teaching of numeracy.
- Supporting initiatives to raise attainment, for example, target-setting and using attainment data to evaluate attainment.
