Autumn Term 2008

Access to the Secondary Curriculum for Pupils with English as an additional Language
Addresses the knowledge and skills required to enable pupils with English as an additional language (EAL) to achieve their full potential across the secondary curriculum, with particular emphasis on pupils newly arrived from overseas.

Basic Features of the Main Minority Ethnic Cultures
Information about key cultural and religious issues relating to the main minority ethnic groups represented in Shropshire, in particular Pakistani, Indian, African Caribbean, Chinese, Japanese and Polish.

Responding to¸ Recording & Reporting Racist Incidents
Recognising racist incidents, meeting statutory requirements and implementing strategies to minimise incidents and the damage they cause.
