The Education Advisory Service provides school-based training sessions, which can be planned to address your own school priorities, as well as to help you to respond to local, national or government requirements.
Schools can commission a full day, half-day, twilight or evening school-based training session for the whole school staff, a specific group of staff, a department, for senior and middle managers, for governors, or any combination of these. School-based training can be curriculum area specific, management-based (e.g. target-setting, school self-evaluation) or cover whole school issues (e.g. ICT across the curriculum, boys versus girls performance). Equally, schools can host a school-based training session for a group of other schools - this is particularly helpful for clusters of small rural primary schools.
Please select either the Curriculum or Non Curriculum links in the related pages section of this page to access the relevant school-based training area and to find out full details of the school-based training we provide. Alternatively, please contact us for details on any other school-based training requirements or use the links on this page for further information.
The attached school-based training rates apply for the 2009/2010 financial year. Competitive rates can be negotiated for non-maintained and out-of-county schools. Please also find attached the proforma to be used when requesting school-based support.
Please note that a 15% discount applies to all Shropshire/Telford & Wrekin LA maintained schools that book their school-based training session prior to the end of the Summer term 2009.
