Course content

- Can we develop children as independent learners?
- Can we help children to understand historical significance?
- Do we explore diversity in our history curriculum?

Intended outcomes

Participants will:
- be familiar with possible solutions to the above questions
- be provided with practical examples to help teachers in the classroom
- develop continuity of learning in history for our children.

Programme

The programme will include:
- what do we understand about independent learners?
- how can we equip children to become effective independent learners?
- what is historical significance and how can we help children understand and effectively use this concept
in the classroom?
- societies have a history of diversity so how can we build this in to the way we teach in a progressive
manner?

We aim to put finalised course programmes on the website two weeks ahead of the course date.
