Shropshire is leading the way in the region for implementing MARAC's.
If a person is experiencing domestic violence a referral form may be completed with their (and their children's) safety in mind. This information may be shared with partner agencies. If the information gathered indicates that the person is at risk of harm it may be discussed at a MARAC.
MARAC is a meeting where agencies can plan and agree what support they can offer to help keep a victim of domestic violence (and their children) safe. The aim is to prevent the victim from being abused again.
After the MARAC the victim may be offered advice, support services and equipment to help reduce the risk of harm.
