The Education Improvement Service for Shropshire works with schools to improve the quality of learning experiences and standards of achievement at all levels. It supports schools by, among other things:
- providing school-based consultancy, which can be tailored to schools' specific requirements
- planning and providing in-service courses across all curriculum areas and phases, which can be delivered at the service's training centres or, alternatively, on school sites
- producing and sourcing curriculum publications - most written by our own advisers - as well as a wide range of resources, particularly in the areas of science, D&T and mathematics
- providing training centres and specialist curriculum resource centres for: school effectiveness, publications, literacy, numeracy, ICT, arts and media and science and technology.
The Shropshire Learning Gateway (SLG), our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) is the place to find curriculum resources and information for all subject areas. You will need your password to log in to the site, (if you do not know your password please contact SITSS).
