Mind Week 10-17 May 2008

Mind Week - the theme for 2008 is debt and mental health

Mind's research In the red: debt and mental health shows that debt is not just a financial problem but can have a serious impact on a person's mental health in terms of:

  • anxiety
  • stress
  • depression
  • self-harm
  • suicidal thoughts
  • as well as adding to wider social exclusion problems

The Mind week campaign for 2008 highlights the need for better support and services by financial service companies, banks and local authority collection departments for people with mental health problems and debt difficulties.

During Mind Week, the Shropshire Customer First Points in Bridgnorth, Broseley, Church Stretton, Highley, Market Drayton, Shifnal and Shrewsbury are featuring the work done by Mind, both locally and nationally. There will be details of:

  • services and help provided
  • ways of getting in touch
  • volunteering opportunities
  • how to make a donation

Follow the links on this page to find out where the Customer First Points are located and what their opening hours are.
